The Presbyterian Womens purpose is as follows:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves
· to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
· to support the mission of the church worldwide,
· to work for justice and peace,
· and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
Presbyterian meets 9 months of the year (See calander page). We meet for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with a meal. We each pledge a yearly offering amount, which goes to mission giving on the church-wide (national), synod, and presbytery levels. Some of the money stays in the church for mission and other projects. We also have 3 special offerings: Fellowship of the Least Coin, which is a monthly offering; the Thanksgiving Offering; and the Birthday Offering. The recipients of these offerings are chosen each year by a church-wide committee.
