Who are we?
Northminster Presbyterian Church ministers to the Slidell and Pearl River areas of southeast Louisiana. Our church building, pictured above, is located on Military Rd. 1/2 mile south of exit 3 off Interstate 59. We are just Northeast of Slidell and South of the city of Pearl River. Located approximately 40 miles from downtown New Orleans, the area is growing rapidly since the devastation of hurricane Katrina in August 2005. Life here is still changing as the entire area rebuilds and redefines itself.
Visitors are always welcome. We invite you to explore our website and find out who we are and what we do as a congregation and as Presbyterians.
We are a "Thinking Church", open to diverse, new ideas and welcoming of people's sincere questions about faith and following christ.
As such, we respect one another's viewpoints and diverse beliefs and we earnestly seek to follow a God who is ultimately beyond all of us,
We are neither a conservative nor a liberal church, but instead seek to be "Merely Christian", believing that our relationships are more important than different opinions.

WELCOME TO 2011
As we welcome 2011 in at Northminster, we again find ourselves without an installed pastor. Keith has chosen to resign and explore other opportunities for ministry. We wish him the best as he seeks for what God has in store for him.
We now start the process for examining ourselves and trying to understand what God wants for us in preparation for a new pastor search. Luckily for us we have several people in our congregation that are quite capible of providing good sermons on a limited basis as they either have other full time employment or have other commitments. We have located a part time pastor to help us as needed. The Rev. Bob Ledbetter has preached for us many times in the past and most uf us know him very well.
Please keep all of us in your prayers as we start this process.

Attention parents of preschool kids!!
The Northminster Montessori Preschool will be having an open house for the 2011-2012 school year. It will be held on March 20th from 6:00PM to 7:30PM at the church. We will offer information on Montessori education as well as specific about Northminster's specific program. Reservations are not necessary.
