Every year, at the Massechusetts Institute of Technology, an audience which include a number of Nobel Prize winners gathers to present the Ignobel Prizes, a humorous ceremony to recogize such inventions as the plastic pink flamingo, and such discoveries as the fact that red-footed tortoises don’t seem to yawn contagiously.
They say that the awards are for achievements that make people laugh, then make people think.
This month’s New Song Worship will be featuring humor in worship. We’ve done “Holy Humor Sunday” before at Northminster, but this time, we’ll be worshipping God with humor that (hopefully) makes you laugh, and then (probably) makes you think.
Please come join us. Sunday, June 24 at 7:00 PM.
