Kid’s Summer Food Program at Northminster!

We are a site for the summer food program of the USDA on Mondays through Fridays through July 29, 2016, except for Memorial Day (May 30, 2016).

We begin each day at 9:00 am with a snack.

Then, we have Vacation Bible School-like activities such as stories, games, crafts, and songs.Plenty of trust-worthy adult supervision will be present.

We conclude each day with lunch from 11:00-noon. The meal is a lot like a school lunch. It’s different every day: tacos, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, and so forth with fruit and vegetable and milk.

The food is provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It’s a way to make sure kids who depend on school lunches get nutritious meals through the summer.

All kids 18 and younger are welcome.  You don’t have to be eligible for free or reduced lunches. You don’t have to prove you come from some particular school. You just have to be no older than 18 years old.

(We’re sorry, but we have no provision this year for feeding parents or other adults, even if you’re willing to pay for it, and we can’t allow to-go meals.)
